The District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU) of the Fanteakwa North District Assembly held a pivotal meeting on Wednesday, 15th April 2026, at the District Assembly Hall. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to review progress on development initiatives and chart the way forward for the district’s development agenda. The main agenda included Presentation and Discussion of 2024 NDPC Feedback on the Annual Progress Report (APR) Findings, Presentation of First Quarter Progress Report for 2026.

The Chairman, Mr. Daniel Tetteh, welcomed all members to the meeting and emphasised the critical importance of the DPCU meeting to the Assembly. He noted that this was his first time chairing a DPCU meeting since his posting to the district, and expressed his commitment to supporting the work of the unit. He urged all members to pay close attention to the presentations and actively engage in discussions, particularly on the 2024 NDPC Feedback on the Annual Progress Report (APR) Findings.

The District Planning Officer Mr. Stephen Parku was also formally introduced to members of the DPCU as the new Planning Officer for the district. Members were encouraged to collaborate closely with the Planning Officer to advance the district’s development planning agenda.

The Assistant Development Planning Officer, Mr. Prosper Senyo Adjetey, led the presentation on the 2024 NDPC Feedback on the Annual Progress Report (APR) Findings. The presentation focused on strengths and gaps identified in the district’s reporting, the implications of the findings for district planning and implementation, and measures recommended to improve future reporting. Members engaged in detailed discussions and noted areas requiring immediate action.

Departments/Units presented their First Quarter Progress Reports for the 2026 financial year in preparation of the 2026 Composite First Quarter Progress Report. Each presentation outlined activities implemented, achievements recorded, challenges encountered during implementation, and the proposed way forward. Members deliberated on the reports and provided constructive inputs to ensure that plans align with community priorities and national development goals.

In his closing remarks, the Chairman, Mr. Daniel Tetteh, commended members and departments for their dedication and active participation in the discussions. He expressed gratitude to all attendees for their insightful contributions and reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to fostering sustainable development in the Fanteakwa North District.

The meeting was deemed successful, having achieved its key objectives of reviewing the departmental reports and planning for the year ahead. The Assembly looks forward to effectively executing its approved plans and working collaboratively with all stakeholders to improve the quality of life for residents of the Fanteakwa North District.
